Unveil the Secrets of a Stunning Vegan Chocolate Pie

This vegan chocolate pie is super simple and doesn’t even require baking! You only need five ingredients to create a thick and creamy filling that might surprise you—it’s made from tofu! Along with almond butter, chocolate almond milk, and melted chocolate chips, this pie is a dream come true for anyone looking for a delicious, plant-based dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces of firm silken tofu
  • 1/2 cup of Chocolate Almond Breeze Almondmilk
  • 1/2 cup of almond butter
  • 12 ounces of chocolate chips (make sure they’re vegan if you’re strict about it)
  • A pinch of flaky sea salt for topping
  • Your choice of pie crust (check out the crust ideas below)

Instructions:

  1. Make the Filling: In a blender, combine the tofu, almond milk, and almond butter until smooth. Melt the chocolate chips and add them to the blender. Blend again until the mixture is smooth and thick. You might need to use a spatula to help mix it between blends.
  2. Assemble the Pie: Pour the filling into your chosen pie crust. If you like, sprinkle some flaky sea salt on top for an extra touch of flavor. Chill the pie in the fridge for 12-24 hours to set.
  3. Serve: Once set, cut the pie into slices and serve.

Crust Ideas:

  • A graham cracker crust is my go-to, and it’s usually vegan since it’s made with oils instead of butter.
  • An Oreo crust or a traditional pie crust made with coconut oil are great options too.
  • For something different, try a crust made from dates and nuts.

Notes:

  • If you’re a strict vegan, make sure to use vegan chocolate chips. I found some at Whole Foods.
  • The chocolate almond milk adds a lovely flavor, and any leftover milk makes a great morning drink.

This pie is not only a treat for your taste buds but also a conversation starter thanks to its unique ingredients. Enjoy your dessert!
