Zesty Shrimp Tacos with a Flavorful Garlic, Cilantro, and Lime Slaw

Here’s how to whip up the best shrimp tacos with a garlic cilantro lime slaw in about 30 minutes! This recipe is all about bold flavors and great textures, making it a delicious choice for a quick dinner.

For the Garlic Cilantro Lime Sauce:

  • Mix together 1/4 cup of oil, 1/2 cup each of chopped green onions and cilantro leaves, two cloves of minced garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, the juice of two limes, and 1/2 cup of sour cream or full-fat Greek yogurt. If the sauce is too thick, thin it with up to 1/4 cup of water.

For the Shrimp Taco Spice Mix:

  • Combine 2 teaspoons each of chili powder and cumin, 1/2 teaspoon each of onion powder and garlic powder, a pinch of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste), and 1 teaspoon of coarse sea salt.

For the Tacos:

  • Lay out 8 small tortillas (corn or flour based on your preference). Smash some avocado onto each tortilla, top with the seasoned slaw, then add the cooked shrimp. Sprinkle Cotija cheese over the top, add a squeeze of lime, and drizzle with any remaining sauce.
